I've enjoyed Ballard's fiction for 30 years. In 1979 (aged 20) I discovered Ballard by simply browsing through his book "The Atrocity Exhibition" in my local bookshop. I immediately felt an affinity with his unique take on "reality". It's wonderful when something like that happens. "The Atrocity Exhibition" was a great introduction to his work. It has everything. It's intense, compressed, obsessive, surrealistic, and prophetic. I could go on.... Very good article. I’ve enjoyed Ballard’s fiction for 30 years.
