Chris Mitchell. :: Web Design In the last five years, I have worked full time as a web project manager for two major UK companies: Future Publishing, the UK's fifth biggest magazine publisher; and Vodafone, the world's biggest mobile phone company. I spent two years at Future Publishing managing the creation and direction of the website for .net, the UK's best selling Internet magazine. I was then promoted to editor of the Maximum PC Network, which effectively meant project management of all Future's computer magazine related websites. Whilst at Vodafone I managed the Mobile and Technology Channels of Vizzavi.co.uk, Vodafone's joint Web venture with Vivendi International. I have also published and edited spikemagazine.com since 1996, which has become one of the Web's most well-established and longest running online literary magazines. Spikemagazine.com currently has over one million page views per year. I have also created several websites on a freelance basis. I specialise in simple, fast-loading sites that are light on graphics and low on cost to the client. These sites include: submerged.co.ukA historical archive site about shipwrecks around Devon and the world, which also promotes the sale of Submerged Productions' books and videos. peterjames.com surinvolunteers.com john-parker.co.uk
