Ban this sick filth!
As you’re no doubt aware, it’s Banned Books week this week, where censorship comes under scrutiny and the power of writing gets recognised.
The excellent January magazine has a useful feature on Banned Books, including the American Library Association’s 100 Most Frequently Challenged Books of the 90s.
JustBooks.co.uk, the second hand and antiquarian books trading site, also has a Banned Book Special, featuring interviews with Judith Vidal-Hall, editor of Index on Censorship and Michael Goss, a well-respected bookdealer specialising in erotica.
Of course, regular Spike readers will know we’ve got all sorts of salacious filth scattered round the site…
If you’ve any other suggestions for sites celebrating Banned Books week, why not post them on the Spike forum.
