Scriberazone

A poetry site that's just starting out, Scriberazone describes itself as "Modern, funky poetry for the masses". It's too early to tell if that's really the case, but there wasn't anything especially cringeworthy present when I visited.

More established is Rue Bella, the website of the small press poetry magazine featuring the likes of Benjamin Zephaniah and Brian Patten. Poems are presented in both text and audio format, so you can listen to the words as they were meant to be heard. There's not that much on the site at the moment, but if you're a poetry fan it's probably a wise idea to subscribe to the mag.

If you're feeling lucky, Spike's got a second book competition which starts today. We're giving away 5 autographed copies of Gypsy Masala , the acclaimed debut novel from Preethi Nair. Have a go at winning! Visit the official Gypsy Masala site if you want to find out more about the book.

Spike's first book competition is still running. 5 copies of Jeff Noon's new novel Noodle In The Groove are up for grabs.
