Hyphenate this

I read with disbelief that Wired have elected to reinsert the hyphen back into the term "email". Language always contracts with usage as we try to express as much as possible in the shortest possible time. The rise of acronyms and abbreviations in everyday language isn't just the doing of email and text messages - it's because human beings are inherently lazy and will always try to find the quickest way of saying something. Hence why hyphens disappear with prolonged usage. Plus they look shit. Wired is essentially flying in the face of language evolution. Bet they drop the hyphen in another couple of years.
