A few snippets - the Francis Bacon Image Gallery is a staggeringly comprehensive overview of Bacon's work, with decent reproductions of hundreds of his works plus a superb, in-depth year by year chronology of his life alongside media clippings, bibliography and loads of other stuff.
If you're fond of the likes of Stephen King and Michael Critchton, you should check out the website of Peter James, who regularly gets compared to them both. Oh OK, this is a thinly veiled plug for the site because I look after it, but if you enjoy those two authors, you won't be disappointed with Peter's work.
Budding authors should check out ABCtales.com, a new literary website and magazine from JohnBird, the man who came up with the idea of the Big Issue. Anyone can get their work published on ABCtales.com, and the best ones get cherrypicked for further exposure. Can't be bad.
