Spiral-Bound
Why haven?t I pointed everyone to Spiral-Bound before, I don?t know. The editor calls it ?a newsletter for all enthusiasts of modern literature?. The only websites it resembles in quality of content and design are its sister-sites on Beckett and Borges, among others, which have been mentioned here before. The latest edition of the newsletter has various stories about authors and composers the webmaster, known as The Great Quail, is interested in: Umberto Eco, Garcia Marquez, James Joyce, Luciano Berio. Now, I?m not a great fan of some of these writers, but the manner in which everything is presented persuades me to read on. Subscribe by email today.
This edition also says some very nice things about Spike ? but don?t think this is a mutual admiration society: I?m not responsible for Spike. That's Chris' job. He hasn?t got a clue about Spiral-Bound. And judging from his earlier blog encouraging everyone to buy Corporate Fiction, the only clue he does have is about how to annoy me. But that's not very difficult.
