Modern Philosophy Classics In Germany, you can…

Modern Philosophy Classics

In Germany, you can buy the classics of modern German philosophy for relatively minimal amounts of cash. Even the editions are desirable objects. In the UK, you have to hope for broken down secondhand editions. Its rare for new paperbacks even to go for less than 15. So its good to see that Routledge has a new Classics imprint. Adorno, Derrida and Lacan are there, among others. And the paperbacks are a tenner. Not bad.

Ive also seen the websiteless Athlone Presss attractive red and white editions of more modern philosophy classics. These are 15 each however. With more Adorno and Derrida, you can find Deleuze, Bataille and the recently deceased Pierre Klossowskis wonderfully-entitled work Nietzsche and the Vicious Circle. If I had an Amazon wish list this would be on it. Is it too late to get me a birthday present for tomorrow?
