You�d never know it from watching the news, but there is growing opposition to the prospect of a terrorist attack on Iraq by the corporate servants erroneously called �the leaders of the Free World�. Veteran Labour MP Tony Benn gave a short and moving speech to a gathering in London at the beginning of the month calling for Ghandi-like resistance to what is being prepared in our name. It went unreported because there are more pressing issues, such as Posh Spice�s pregnancy.
That Metafilter blog site Chris mentions below is indeed very good (even if they cite my now-embarrassing piece on Cioran). Today I see it linked to Americans for Victory Over Terrorism, a monstrous, Orwellian example of the threat to civilisation (you notice they make no mention of the US-funded assault on the defenceless citizens of Palestine) as was the attack on the Reichstag, sorry, I mean the World Trade Centre.
