There are moments when watching the DVD of Jean-Luc Godard?s Eloge de l?Amour that you realise unhappiness isn?t such a bad feeling after all. What beauty there is in loss, irreparable absence and the silence of existence! To bad, then, that the feeling doesn?t last. Still, it?s worth turning out all the lights (physically and metaphorically?) to experience this seriously beautiful film.
