Modesty

On a lighter note than usual, I just want to remark on how clever I am. After answering the questions on the Nightwaves website (see link on bottom right), I was impressed to find that I got all ten correct, thus giving me the chance of winning Patricia Dunckers new novel The Deadly Spaces Between. Ive not read any of her work, but as its based on a novella by Herman Melville (thats half a clue to one of the answers in the quiz) I am less inclined to pass it by. His story Bartleby, the Scrivener, is one those that keep coming back to demand re-reading.

I have done this quiz each month since I first saw it. And Ive always got 10 out of 10 (usually after crafty visits to Google) but have never won a prize. However, I did once give the answers to a culturally impoverished friend, who promptly won a fuck-off art book worth 30. The words loser and born spring to mind.
