Famous for 15 pages
And now for a public service announcement:
Outline Productions are making a major new ten-part BBC documentary series that will present the definitive portrait of the lifestyles, attitudes and behaviour of today’s 22-35 year olds. One of the shows is devoted to ‘Culture’ and we want to do a story on books and reading groups for the literature section. We’re looking for:
1. A book group made up of 22-35 year olds, who are a bit different from the norm - perhaps their discussions are more ‘animated’ than usual, perhaps they only concentrate on a certain genre, or perhaps there’s something unusual about the members of the group.
2. Fans of particular writers, especially those who have had a particular influence on the this generation. Are there any book groups, festivals or even sightseeing tours (!) devoted to the life and works of authors like Irvine Welsh, Alex Garland, William Gibson or Nick Hornby?
If you can help, please contact Tom Adams on 020 7284 8190 or tom@outlineproductions.co.uk
