Literary luvvies
I recently had the pleasure of meeting with Andrew Gallix, editor-in-chief of 3ammagazine.com, and Bertie Marshall, Psychoboys author and king of the catty putdown. Over a few drinks in a squalidly glamourous pub on the book-strewn Charing Cross Road, we plotted literary world domination, argued over the definition of a crap novel and I heard them both praise Michel Houellebecq’s Atomised to the rafters. I tell you this only to say that it’s great to spend time actually talking about books in real life avec booze and so you can have a giggle at my somewhat dislevelled appearance on the 3am site in the 1st May Buzzwords entry, as Andrew immortalised the evening with a photo. More importantly, you should check out the stacks of new material they’ve got there - 3am is consistently great at pulling in great articles.
