Oh well-ian

Written by:Stephen Mitchelmore.

The first thing I heard on waking was the BBC reporting airstrikes by “Allied” forces. Then, without comment, a sober speech from the US President. Following that, we were shown a clip of Saddam speaking to his nation. However, before we heard one translated word we were told it was a speech full of “blood-thirsty rhetoric”. Oh, thanks for telling me what to think! Did the reporter worry that I might confuse his words with those of the other man in a suit quietly unleashing the most sophisticated and deadly military force in world history?
