Part II

Written by:Stephen Mitchelmore.

Much like the last British journalist to die in Iraq (Farzad Bazoft), the remains of ITN reporter Terry Lloyd have been swept under the carpet. Lloyd’s cameraman Daniel Demoustier presents strong evidence that he was targeted by invading forces. I have not seen this mentioned by ITN back home. Perhaps the editors-in-chief are holding out for that knighthood as their Thatcher-cheerleading predecessors did in the 80s? Blair has not demanded an inquiry. Has this anything to do with the Pentagon’s thinly-veiled threat to kill journalists who are not “embedded”?
