I’m Afraid Of Americans

Written by:Chris Mitchell.

Some bits and pieces sent to me recently:

The Disinformation Companys international bestseller Why Do People Hate America? has been updated with a new foreword bringing the book up-to-date past the United States invasion of Iraq. Ziauddin Sardar and Merryl Wyn Davies, the authors, have contributed the foreword, entitled After the War on Iraq, for free download at the newly-redesigned Disinfo.com. You can read the foreword here and buy the book from Amazon here.

Timothy Doyle is the author of Going To Dolpho, which he describes as an account of “an overland journey into northwest Nepal with an unsentimental Buddhist essay”. Tim has lived and travelled in India, Bangladesh and Nepal - you can find more info about the book and his travels at timothydoyle.net and cehck out the book’s publishers at imperfectmusic.com.

“A timely celebration of the work of JG Ballard, with a season including a new adaptation of his short story The Enormous Space, starring Antony Sher, is to be shown on BBC FOUR later this year. ” Full details here.

Guess what AudiobooksToday.com does? Yup, reviews, interviews, articles, discussions and sales of audiobooks.

SeanAlonzo.com “is the official site of occult fiction author Sean Alonzo, exploring symbolism, alternative history, philosophy, secret societies and other areas of the esoteric tradition.” It’s also a bandwidth-destroying Flash site so I couldn’t even get into it.

IdentityTheory.com recently published an interview with Barry Gifford, author of Wild At Heart, amongst many others - this site publishes a new interview almost every week (or so it seems), so worth checking out or signing to their mailing list.

Demonstrationbootleg.com seems to be an MP3 site for new musicians - although it says it’s “to bring overlooked legends in the field of music, writing and film into the vernacular”. Hmm.
