Correction required
Look, if anyone is reading over at Metafilter, will they please tell Don Factor that his otherwise accurate post on the magnificent John Pilger documentary last night has a factual error in that has evidently confused, and perhaps justified, the redneck fuckwits who responded disparagingly. Colin Powell and Con. Rice admitting Iraq posed no threat was in 2001 - just before what Rice called the “enormous opportunity” of Sept 11th - not 1991. Anyway, worth repeating here.

“We are able to keep his arms from him. His military forces have not been rebuilt.” Condoleezza Rice, March, 2001
