Cardinal sinner

Written by:Stephen Mitchelmore.

Metafilter posters’ are wetting themselves in admiration of a US soldier, who used to be a gridiron grunt, because he got killed in action in Afghanistan. Less than 25 years ago, the Western media was celebrating the beheading of Russian soldiers by Mujahideen funded by Christians in the US, but now, for some reason, such resistance to illegal foreign invasions is the height of evil. Apparently the guy’s great sacrifice was turning down a $3.6m contract. Such is the US measure of courage.
