Tony Parsons, famed writer of lower-middlebrow bestsellers, changes his mind about the invasion of Iraq. “Sometimes you have to hold up your hands, admit you got it wrong and say: Sorry, folks, I was hoaxed. Tony Blair fooled me. He told us we were fighting for freedom, democracy and national security in Iraq. I see now that it was all a pack of lies.”

He should be congratulated for this, I suppose, even if it took the death-toll we all predicted to convince him. I’m still waiting for the pulping of Man & Boy though….
