Bonzo the Peacemaker
According to CNN, Reagan will be remembered as a peacemaker.
This will come as news to those who remember the 30,000+ victims of the Contra terrorists of Nicaragua, and the death squads in El Salvador he funded, of the Afghan Mujahaddin and the subsequent Taliban who he funded and encouraged, of the 100+ civilian victims of the jet bombing of Tripoli and Bengazi in April 1986 that he instigated, of the Iranians shot down by the cowboys on the USS Vincennes, and the Iranians who died in the war he encouraged Saddam to wage, and the AIDS victims when he refused funding for medical research on the “gay plague”.
Those who remember: i.e. not mainstream journalists. This is 2004, but you’d be forgiven for thinking it was twenty years earlier.
