Tulse Luper Suitcases
When I mentioned below Godard’s talk on French philosophers, I wondered if there was a British director who could possibly do something similar. I couldn’t think of one. I’ve just endured the beginning of Hannibal (it was on telly last night) and was disgusted by everything about it. The goal of British directors seems to be to ape Hollywood’s degeneracy.
So there was a certain serendipity about when I checked out Red Thread(s) blog and read its news of a new Peter Greenaway production. The associated website for Tulse Luper Suitcases is as annoying as the man’s films (the volume control is a crime against usability in itself), but at least he isn’t Ridley Scott.
