Using democracy

Written by:Stephen Mitchelmore.

The literary fascists at the New Criterion sprinkle their bile over Spain for using the ballot box to impose their will. This is called a “moral failure” as it came so soon after the Madrid bombings. Clearly, they were meant to change their opposition and deep resentment of the invasion of Iraq because of a terrorist bombing - such is the logic of terror understood and espoused by this magazine. (I got the link from fellow logicians Arts & Letters Daily).

There was no outrage against the UK prior to the Thursday elections - the first since the invasion. Still, the British people expressed their view of having a war criminal in Downing Street. What does the NC think of that? Perhaps they need their old friends in the Mujahaddin to frighten the British, who might not be as strong-willed as the Spanish.
