Aufgehoben revealed
Every now and again a record comes along that defies you to ignore it, and here's one of them. This is the third album from Aufgehoben, an English outfit whose members like to remain anonymous.
The resourceful BBC Music website reviews Anno Fauve, the new LP from the mysterious British band Aufgehoben No Process. The reviewer describes the music as a "sludgy rock pulse" with "viscous gobs of noise or howls of feedback" in which "twin drummers spar with each other or lock into monumental psych-rock patterns". Anyway, you can hear samples on the page.
The band's website is coy about the identity of the band members. You can appreciate why as I reveal, using my exclusive insider knowledge, the band in its previous guise as freelance black metal gardeners.
