also think alike. The Guardian’s headline for this story is Do we need another Kafka biography? It is the same question I asked in April. They get Kafka’s translator and poet Michael Hofmann to answer it in his review of Nicholas Murray’s recent biography. It is a beautiful piece. He tends to think we don’t need a biography so much as “a book of passionate advocacy” for Kafka. One for Mr Hofmann himself, I’d suggest.
