Something we won’t get to see

Written by:Stephen Mitchelmore.

From the Royal Stable, a site dedicated to Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy: Will Oldham is the feature in a documentary by Caveh Zahedi. The 30 minute film is entitled “Tripping with Caveh”. In the doc, Will and Caveh take hallucinogenic mushrooms together and then spend the day getting to know each other. The film features live performances of classic Will Oldham tunes, as well as one Leonard Cohen cover.

Despite being the spitting image of (for me) a bad memory, Zahedi is a fascinating figure. His other films look good too: you can’t beat a title like In the Bathtub of the World (I hope he appreciates the plug). And in an essay he mentions Blanchot. It’s all coming together!
