Short extracts

Written by:Stephen Mitchelmore.

The Independent is running extracts from Clare Short’s An Honourable Deception?, her book about “the Iraq crisis” from her perspective inside Blair’s cabinet. The paper reports that the book “accuses Mr Blair of taking Britain to war on a ‘pre-ordained timetable’ which he had already agreed with Mr Bush while denying publicly that any decision had been made.”

Strange, this feeling, witnessing far more able, knowledgeable and powerful people cottoning on to what was bleedin’ obvious two years ago. Soon they might also realise Blair is a murderer as well as a liar. But even now is too late.
