Authors - get free publicity for your new titles
Right. So the PDF thing strikes me as a perfect way for authors and publishers to give readers a suitably chunky extract in easily readable form of new books.
Authors - got a book? Got an extract of around 3000 words that makes sense on its own and would make people want to read the rest of it? Email me - chris AT spikemagazine DOT com - and tell me about it. DO NOT send me attachments, cover art etc - it will be deleted without being read. Just give me the synopsis of what the book’s about and we can take it from there.
Publishers - ditto, preferably with info about several titles in one go.
If this works, we can re-open spike’s new writing section. Which would be nice. Except people might start sending me poetry again.
