Impressions of Roussel
Started reading a biography of Raymond Roussel today. I knew nothing about him before reading the Preface by John Ashbury and the first few pages by Mark Ford. Atlas Press offers an online introduction to save me from a journalistic moment.
His novels are not easily available, so it's also good to discover Atlas' project, including a new translation of New Impressions of Africa. By coincidence, Atlas' books are stocked in the bookartbookshop in Hoxton that an artist friend recommended to me only last week. Next time I'm in London, I'm there.
I hope it's still open in 2013.
