Getting Wiki Wi’ It
Interesting article in The Observer about the rise of Wikipedia and the predictable sneering at its integrity from the likes of the Encyclopaedia Britannica. I like the idea of the Wikipedia and have been aware of the storm of enthusiasm its swept up on the Net over the last year, but I've barely used it. I've not found any compelling reason to do so. What do you lot think? Does anyone use it regularly? Contribute to it? Do you trust it?
I was also pondering installing Wikipedia on spike as it's open source and could be a useful resource. The confusing proliferation of all things wiki has left me confused as how to do this. Any geek help appreciated to the usual email.
