Momus Rediscovered

Through warrenellis.com, I just found Momus again. I know only one Momus song: it was on the Creation Records sampler Doing It For The Kids released back in 1988 or thereabouts for a fiver, and his track was called "A Complete History Of Sexual Jealousy, part 3" (I might have got the number wrong). It's a track that's stayed with me ever since - I caught myself humming it this morning.

Momus has lived all over the place outside his native England and now resides in Berlin: his fascinating blog Click Opera covers his recent realisation there wherever he's been in the world, he's gravitated towards the Japanese quarter and lives amongst the Japanese of his adopted city - so he's in exile twice removed, as he puts it. Momus writes lengthily but never windily - his is a truly absorbing, original journal, a great example of what blogs can actually be.

I reckon it would make for a great book.

Here's the RSS version of Mr Momus' blog: Livejournal don't make it easy to find.
