Derek Jarman And Colour

Written by:Chris Mitchell.

Spike’s resident art expert Nick Clapson is knocking out some great posts on colour at his blog Ty Bach. Inspired by Derek Jarman’s Chroma, Nick’s doing some “first thought best thought” short pieces about different colours. Short sentences, different memories and sensations colliding, plus some good one-liners - “Red is the colour of danger, passion and herrings”.

Nick also wrote Spike’s now seminal appreciation of Jarman - nearly 9 years ago and still one of Spike’s most visited pages.
