TV next week: books and forbidden teenage love
Tomorrow, in Channel 4's coverage of the Hay Festival 2005, Kazuo Ishiguro, Julian Barnes and Jonathan Coe will "debate the future of the British novel". Someone might be interested, I suppose.
However, I can be sure that many, many people will be interested in the TV version of Julie Burchill's novel Sugar Rush, as reviewed here by our own Ben Granger. I've seen the trailers and have noticed that some of it was filmed a few yards from where I write this. Isn't that exciting? But the stars of the glass and silver screen seem to be attracted to where I live. For example, Kirsten Dunst can be seen here waiting to get a glimpse of me as I nip out for some milk.
