17 more dead in July bombing

The Sharpe Side reads a story buried on page 27 of the Sunday Times. I searched BBC News for the same story. Here it is, posted on the 4th of July.

The US military says it regrets that civilians were killed in an air strike by US forces in eastern Afghanistan. Women and children were among 17 killed in the raid on Chechal village, Konar province.

I'd missed it before. Can you guess why? On the ITN bulletin just now there was an unusually long interview with a survivor of Thursday's bombing in London. Perhaps the above story was dropped to contain it?

Remember, you can download Chomsky's Media Control: The Spectacular Achievements of Propoganda at Grey Lodge. One obvious technique of media thought control is to start the story from the perspective of the perpetrators ... and not have any interviews with survivors.
