A long run up: Beckett’s centenary

Written by:Stephen Mitchelmore.

In Beckett Remembering / Remembering Beckett, out to coincide with what would have been his 100th birthday, the author “reveals for the first time many of his inner thoughts, his honest opinions about life, his own work, and his friends and colleagues, in revealing interviews that could not appear in his lifetime and are published here for the first time”. Well not really for the first time, but Charles Juliet’s book isn’t readily available.

The book also features pieces by JM Coetzee, Paul Auster and Steve Martin. Yes, that Steve Martin.

I can’t find any information about the really special publications that mark Beckett’s centenary: the correspondence.
