Interzone hits 200

An unexpected surprise in the post this morning - a copy of the 200th issue of Interzone magazine, the vibrant UK sci-fi and fantasy magazine that's been going for nearly 25 years. In its time, Interzone has published short stories from a host of vital authors, including J G Ballard and Iain Banks - and the magazine has effectively kept the short story market alive for writers in these genres. Interzone's 200th issue is pretty lavish looking - loads of colour pages, well designed layouts, plenty for even a non-sci-fi fan like myself to get into. Congratulations Interzone - here's hoping you continue to thrive for another 200 issues, because no one else will be doing it otherwise.

There's also The Third Alternative, which is another mag by TTA press which mixes up contemporary fiction with interviews, columns and reviews.
