Pyongyang in Graphic Detail

Village Voice and World Hum both carry features on an interesting new non-fiction graphic novel called Pyongyang, documenting author and illustrator Guy Delisle’s two month stint in the capital of North Korea. Given the enigma that still surrounds the Stalinist state, this is another worthwhile take on our attempts to understand the realm of Kim Jong-Il. As the Village Voice points out, there has been a spate of books about North Korea this year already.
