New Travel Websites - Travelhappy and Divehappy
The Spike travel section kept growing, so I’ve now spun off its contents into two separate, purpose-built websites: Travelhappy.info for general backpacking / independent travel features and Divehappy.com for scuba diving write ups. Given you can find a ton of practical info on the Web about travelling to virtually any exotic destination, I thought I’d concentrate on writing stuff that gives a flavour of particular places I’ve visited in specific countries. Atmosphere is one thing guidebooks like Lonely Planet wholly lack.
Currently most of the content of both sites is written by me, although there’s sterling articles by Edmund Hardy, Brendan Wolfe and my long suffering girlfriend, Lindy, who has written several invaluable guides to teaching English in Japan, Thailand and Korea.
I’m also running both sites using Blogger as a sort of makeshift CMS, so there is RSS notification for new additions as they happen. If you’re interested in travel and / or diving, take a look and tell me what you think.
UPDATE: Links fixed. D’oh!
