John Sutherland of the Guardian spreads rumours about the possible demise of my favourite paper. But that's not the bad news: I've just renewed my subscription for three years!

The same paper goes a little way to cheer me up by calling the work of Jack Vettriano "textureless, brainless corpses of paintings". His enemies wouldn't be so kind.
