Captains Of Industry
A parcel arrives at my house from the cannily named Captains of Industry Collective, a great name and an even better logo for this guerrilla ensemble of bands.
The Captains and the groups on their roster show an admirably perverse and confrontational stance in great contrast to most of the middle of the road shlock desperate for your approval that passes for the alternative these days.
With bands including Team, the Sound Explosion, Kinesis and the wonderfully monickered Gay For Johnny Depp these lads are determined to shower the shit amongst the pigeons.
Truth be told, the sounds of the bands here is a bit on the metallic/thrash side, which doesn?t do much for a fuddy-duddy who prefers ancient "proper punk" like myself. But I can?t fault the attitude, especially from the politicised Kinesis and the frankly hysterical and barmy Gay For Johnny Depp. If you don?t mind your thrash, give em a go.
