Mick Rocks
Anyone within travelling distance of Manchester with an eye for an iconic image and a taste for the best of 70s rock should get themselves down to Urbis before 6th January. An exhibition of the Photography of Mick Rock is on, featuring unsurpassed shots of David Bowie, Iggy Pop, Lou Reed, Blondie, The Ramones, the Sex Pistols and many more (including Queen, but Ill gloss over this if thats OK).
I went on Saturday, and it was great. Audio tapes in the exhibition of Mick make him sound a bit of a Spinal Tap stoner clich, but his photos simply cant be faulted. The ones of Iggy alone are worth the admission price.
