Penmen
Good to see Ian Penman has popped open The Pill Box again. Here confusedly expressing my own confusion over the unaccountable tolerance amongst otherwise sane folk for the monumentally awful U2 (see also TEV. I'm with Paul Theroux all the way).
Another unique blogger has produced his second book: Blanchot's Vigilance by Lars Iyer of Spurious is out now. Christmas reading alongside Will Large's new book.

Bono the philanthropist is flawed and annoying (massive understatement) but Geldof is in fact far worse; claiming the G8 leaders’ piss-poor reponse to Live8 (not far off the bare minimum possible) as a victory, while, er, almost every single leader of even the most mainstream charities virulently condemned it. The ego has landed. In shit.
