How it was
To mark Samuel Beckett’s centenary, Shoemaker & Hoard has published How It Was, Anne Atik’s memoir of her family’s friendship with the great man. It was first published in the UK by Faber in 2001. Today Ready Steady Book has posted my review of it. First impressions suggest it’s a coffee table volume but, as the review explains, it’s much richer than that.
