Back of the net Brian

Written by:Stephen Mitchelmore.

Did anyone else see Football Focus at lunchtime? I’m sure they used the wonderful new single by Scotland’s finest Camera Obscura for their backing music. If I’m right, the song was I Love My Jean, a setting of a poem by Robert Burns. The single was first recorded in a session for John Peel’s show in 2004, and the band has dedicated it to his memory. For a limited time, you can download a zip of the session from The Perfumed Garden. At the end, you’ll hear him express his delight at the song.
