Ismo@London
Hello, folks. It's the D'Artagnan of Splinters' Three Musketeers signing in after a long absence. (In the past, Spike has seen me tackle remixers, spies and scholarly fools, and more recently I've reviewed two works by Eddie Campbell in ReadySteadyBook.)
Anyway, the point of this post is to get the word out: I arrived in London two days ago, and will be living (& studying) here until the end of January. Since the express purpose of my stay is to improve my spoken English, I'd like to meet with as many bloggers, writers and artists, etc. as possible.
You can find my email address by visiting my weblog (click on my name on the top of the sidebar). If nothing else, I'd appreciate some good links/resources re: literary London. Thanks.

Hi Ismo, welcome to Blighty. Not modern and only half literary, but I recommend you find a couple of hours to drop in on Hogarth’s house sometime for a look at one of the founders of English satire decorated his walls.

Enjoy your stay!
Try: http://www.lrbshop.co.uk/ – a quite good literary bookshop that also does regular talks.
Thanks, Ben and Richard, good stuff.
I think I seriously need to get in touch with real natives. I didn’t come to London to discourse and frolic with drunken German girls and Spanish boys. My loss, I know.
