Twin Cadillac Valentine

The finest moment of the Screaming Blue Messiahs. Now inexplicably lost from my iPod. Anyone got an MP3 of it that I can, erm, evaluate? Thanks

Oh my goodness, I’m so glad there’s someone else out there who still loves the SBMs! Which is what I wanted to say – but not very helpful as I don’t have any of their stuff either than on cd or vinyl, sorry. Good luck in your search though.

  2. Gaaaah! I thought you were about to be my saviour Katy. Oh well – the mission continues…

Ah, sorry Chris! For what it’s worth, I did manage to get hold of a copy of Gun Shy on original cd (v rare) via E-bay last year from a seller in the USA. I already had it on vinyl (2 copies), but needed to be sure – quite expensive but oh-so-worth-it!

But all of the SBM albums on vinyl can still be found in 2nd hand record shops if you try and are prepared to rummage – managed to buy Gun Shy (again! yes I know) and Bikini Red (and one other title that escapes me) last year at 2nd hand shop in Chester.

Good luck in your search – just don’t smash the market place or die in a combat zone :-) K

  4. That’s right, taunt me with your SBM rarities

I have Gunshy on vinyl somewhere in my parents garage I think. But there’s little chance of getting it sent here to Bangkok. Plus I don’t have a record player here… arrgh!

I’ve got copies of the Gun Shy, Bikini Red, Totally Religious, BBC Radio Live in Concert and The Peel Sessions albums on mp3. Any good?

Gun Shy and Bikini Red are both out on CD now. You can buy them from amazon.com. I have both CDs ripped to my MP3 collection.
