Arthur C Clarke is dead. Long live Arthur C Clarke.
Legendary Sci-Fi writer, creator of the 2001 trilogy and inventor of the concept of telecommunications satellites, Arthur C Clarke, died yesterday, age 91, from heart failure in his adopted country of Sri Lanka.
