Capitalist Realism
I want to give this a half-decent review if I get the time, but if not........a great book I've just read is Capitalist Realism, wherein Mark Fisher, the oft-fascinating blogger at k-punk, brilliantly examines the way triumphalist turbo capitalism has erected a stale hall of mirrors around our minds, narrowing cultural discourse in the name of choice, fetishising ersatz radicalism while denying any posibility of genuine change, and massively accelerating the very bureaucracy it always claimed to stand against. Go geddit.
