Michael Foot RIP

While hardly a surprise, the death of Michael Foot is still greatly saddening. A truly great man, my review of his collected writings from Spike a few months back says what I want to say about him - the last true intellectual and writer in British parliamentary politics. Kenneth O Morgan’s fine biography which I read shortly after I wrote the review portrays a more combative and acerbic figure than I had first envisioned, but certainly no less admirable.
