Pop manifestos
Just after my piece on Wyndham Lewis' Blast goes up on Spike, the Guardian has a look at the history of the pop manifesto, from the MC5's "rock and roll, dope, and fucking in the streets" to Bill Drummond's The Manual. Apparently Wild Beasts have put Blast to music, while Lunar Youth have done their own manifesto aping its visual and linguistic style - rather good it looks too.
